To determine how much mulch you’ll need, multiply the length and width of your garden space (in feet) by the mulch height to get total cubic feet.
Adding mulch to a height of two to three inches is recommended by gardening professionals so a 5' x 16' garden space which is 80 feet in area with mulch spread 3" deep will need 20 cubic feet of mulch.
